Alexia Valencia is the Founder of Goodness Sake Strategies, with over 20 years of experience in External Affairs and Business Development across the entertainment, nonprofit, and political sectors. Born and raised in Los Angeles by a single mother, Alexia’s understanding of service and community care was shaped early. Her lived experience, and the support of organizations that helped her thrive, inspired her lifelong commitment to social impact.
She began her career in the entertainment industry, where she worked as a music manager and strategic advisor to artists, executives, and philanthropic leaders. Mentored by the artist Prince, Alexia witnessed the power of using your platform to open doors for others, especially those who lack access or networks. This lesson has stayed with her across every role she’s taken on.
After transitioning out of entertainment, she led fundraising and strategic initiatives at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and later served as Director of External Relations at KIPP SoCal. There, she spearheaded development and communications efforts for the “20 Schools by 2020” campaign, building relationships across communities and sectors to fuel lasting change.
Today, Alexia leads GSS with a focus on equity, impact, and building pipelines for underrepresented voices. Her work spans capital raising, advocacy, brand matchmaking, and experiential strategy, always with the goal of closing systemic gaps and creating real, sustainable outcomes.
